Well to tie in with my new Basilean army I have decided to go with a small force from the 5th Legion of Basilea. Based in the south-west section of the city the 5th Legion regularly ranges out to patrol the surrounding areas including the Ruins of Diffeth. For these rangings they often enlist the aid of the Sisterhood of the Bloodied Rose whose Convent is found not far from the 5th Gate of Basilea. While the 5th Legion are renown for the their discipline and faith the Sisterhood have found fame (or infamy) for their hot blooded passion and aggression. For this mission both will be needed as news has reached the Leaders of the Horn of a dark threat rising from the ruins....
High Paladin Ichabod--- A pious man with the heart of a warrior. Rarely has this paragon of virtue been bested on the field of battle. Yet with the rumours that Vrad'chack has returned he instantly volunteered to destroy the despised daemon Abbess Katrina --- While Ichabod smoulders with contained fury Katrina is the blazing flame. Hot headed, reckless and aggressive the red haired sister is like a dervish in battle wielding a variety of weapons but most commonly her long broad bladed pole-arm. Rumor speaks of secret liaisons between her and Ichabod yet few place stock in these fishwives tales. The 3rd Guard.. Anton, Abraham and Ferdinand.. Some of Ichabods closest companions. They are his trusted lieutenants and like him are loyal to the mission. Wielding the long 2 handed blades with deadly accuracy they are know for defeating forces many times their size The footmen of the 5th Legion: These Strong willed men at arms were hand picked by Ichabod for their tenacity, bravery and skill with their long spears. They all hold the hope of one day being inducted into the paladin guard. An honor easier bestowed in the 5th Legion than others due to Ichabods own common upbringing Katrina's Panther-riders, Sofia and Viktoria: These young sisters have shown an affinity with the Panthers that roam the plains around the monastery. Katrina has brought them along because they would ignore her if she forbade them from coming along. These twins have a deep hatred for the denizens of the abyss since the destruction of their village. > The colour scheme for the Paladins is a traditional Blue and white cloth with Gold armour. A tutorial on this and other models will be forth coming. > The men at arms are blue white and dark steel. > The sisterhood will be red and white robes to give some contrast to the force. I would like to do something a little different when it comes to basing the warband so I think I will attempt to sculpt pieces of road onto the bases to give the impression of an army sniffing around a ruined city. Now wheres the young lads art supplies...
